The Clermont-Minneola Lions Club awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Stacy Hutcheson, a senior at South Lake High School.  Stacy has been accepted to Tallahassee Community College and has been drafted to play on the girls’ softball team.  Stacy plays third base and catcher.  The Club wishes her all the best.
The Club was the host for Zone 4 of the District (35-O) last week. Zone chair, Steve Von Varick was given a check from the club’s Community Foundation for $1,000 to go toward replacing the RIGHT TO SIGHT facility in Ocoee where used eyeglasses are gathered from the District and distributed all around the world.  The existing facility is nearly beyond repair.
And a most exciting time was held at the Lions Club shooting range on SR 50 this past Saturday when Eric Worrall of Chuluota invited his buddies to the range.  Eric was to be married later that afternoon. They found that the facility was an ideal venue for a bachelor party. They had an opportunity to shoot plenty of clay pigeons.
Hamburgers and hot dogs were served and Eric along with his Dad, Jim Worrall had a whopping great time.  Congratulations to newlyweds Eric and Taylor Worrall.
The range has accommodated birthday parties as well. Contact Lion Dan Strauss for information: danstrauss226@gmail.com.
