Each year the members of the Tuscanooga Baptist Church serves a free meal of turkey and all the trimmings to express gratitude to God for his blessings.  This year, the church celebrated on Thanksgiving eve. Three hundred and fifty people came to the Mascotte Civic Center to enjoy the meal.

Tuscanooga Baptist Church is located four miles northwest of Mascotte on Tuscanooga Road. People have worshiped at this location since Civil War days, said Mary Helen Myers, a Groveland Historical Society member.
