Lake County Commissioner Tim Sullivan

This morning the Lake County Board of County Commissioners hosted the annual State of the County presentation in the County Commission Chambers of the Lake County Administration Building, located at 315 W. Main St., Tavares.

This year’s theme, “A Spirit of Service,” highlighted the achievements of the board such as budget efficiencies, public safety improvements, economic development and tourism initiatives.

The State of the County program also included the induction of the late Mabel Norris Reese into the Women’s Hall of Fame, as well as a special recognition by Sheriff Peyton Grinnell of Lake County first responders who assisted in the security and recovery operations during Hurricane Michael.
