In naming Taco Bell Business of the Month, Groveland’s Economic Development Director Dan Murphy said city officials appreciate the professionalism that Taco Bell has brought to the City of Groveland. “The dedication to its people, the sales, the food – I’m really happy they are here,” Murphy said.

Groveland Mayor Evelyn Wilson congratulated the Taco Bell officials for being chosen  “Business of the Month”.  The sign can be seen at the location for the next month.

Joining the Taco Bell officials for the announcement was “Mr. Saucey,” the chain’s mascot.

Alexander Whedbee, Taco Bell’s district manager, attended the ceremony to thank the City of Groveland for its help; store manager Sean Patrick agreed, “I appreciate how welcoming Groveland has been. Without the great people of Groveland, we couldn’t be what we are today.”

The restaurant takes pride that all 35 employees are from Groveland and the restaurant had already exceeded projected first-year sales, weeks before the store’s first anniversary.

“We’re really appreciative of everything Groveland has given us,” Patrick said, “and we’re glad to give all we can back.”
