A golf car rodeo, a golf tournament, delicious dinners, live performances and an ice cream social are among the number of fundraising events scheduled during Clerbrook Residents’ Charities annual Cornerstone Hospice Week, January 19 – 26.

The week of events end on Saturday, January 26, with a Flea Market and Auction at 8:30 am, followed by a live auction at noon and Golf Awards at 3 pm. The fundraiser will wrap up that evening at 7 pm. with entertainment by the country comedy trio Sunday Drive.

Since 1993, the Clermont RV and Golf Resort’s residents have donated $734,000 through their annual Hospice Week events with proceeds benefiting Cornerstone Hospice’s Mike Conley Hospice House.  The 2018 effort raised $54,000.

“The Clerbrook community is committed to supporting Cornerstone Hospice services because the cause is dear to many in the park who have had friends or loved ones nurtured by the loving care of hospice workers and volunteers,” said Betty Capps, Clerbrook Hospice Week co-chair. “Our fundraising events are coordinated exclusively by volunteers and all money goes directly to supporting operations at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont.”

Many of the events are open to the public. Tickets are available for purchase Monday through Friday, from 9 am to noon at The Hearth, located on resort property, 20005 US Highway 27 in Clermont. For a complete listing of the scheduled events, visit https://clerbrookcharities.org/hospice-events.
