Kids soon will have a chance to jump around with their local heroes. The Clermont Police Department will be hosting the 5th annual Lights and Ladders community event on Friday, February 1 from 5-9 pm at Sky Zone Trampoline Park located at 2510 S. U.S. Highway 27. The Clermont Police Department will be working in conjunction with Sky Zone and the Clermont Fire Department, who are also supporting this worthwhile event.

This year, Sky Zone will host 30-minute free jump sessions throughout the night for children ranging in age from 5-15. “That includes regular jumping and dodgeball, and of course the kids get to jump and play dodgeball with the police officers during this time,” Sky Zone General Manager Corey Russell said. “With our new renovations, children will get to participate in a Ninja Warrior Course, a Foam Pit and Rock Wall.”

Admission is free! The public is encouraged to bring a $1 donation to help support the Wounded Officers Initiative. The net proceeds generated from the event will also go to support this charity. In addition, you can show your support by bringing a non-perishable food item for the food pantry at the Family Christian Center.

There will be thousands of free food samples handed out from a variety of local restaurants from 6-8 p.m. Free activities for the event will include Sky Zone jumping, interaction with the Clermont Police and Fire departments (in Sky Zone and at Static Vehicle Displays), bounce houses, obstacle courses, games, slides and more. This event is appropriate for all ages.
