The Village Goldsmith Repair & Design is celebrating its 25th Anniversary under the same Oak Tree at 630 FL-50 in Clermont.
Owner Jim Johnson wants to take the opportunity to say thanks to all his loyal customers and friends in the Lake County Community and the growing client base in West Orange and Northern Polk Counties. In Jim’s words,
“Due to your continuing support of the Village Goldsmith for all of your jewelry needs, we have experienced another extremely successful year for what you the customer have voted “Best Jewelry Store in South Lake County”, two years in a row.
Also, because of the overwhelming support and generosity of our customers, we were able to collect a record number of toys for the Toys for Tots program, and also made record contributions to Faith Neighborhood Center and The Animal League, three amazing local charities.
Thanks again, to another fantastic year: Let’s do it again.
Jim, Betty, Jose, Matt and Monica”.
Getting to know Jim – Jim worked in a service station through high school, and two days after graduation, went into auto mechanics school. He worked for the American Motors Dealer (Rambler) and the same service station as well. He also was deeply involved in drag racing. “When I worked in the service station, I raced with a guy who was a master goldsmith. I became interested in what he did and after several other career choices (auto mechanic, accounting, etc) my friend and mentor (Cliff), encouraged me to go back to school and learn the jewelry trade. After eighteen months of school and five years apprenticeship, Jim was a jeweler.
Jim’s Team: “Our team caters to those singular custom pieces while keeping pace with specialty retail items. As remounts and modifications excite and challenge the team, we also replace watch batteries, restring bead and pearls, repair major clock and watches and ensure your treasures are in good condition”, say Jim.
Jim proclaims, “It’s a privilege and pleasure to be part of such a great community and to have such overwhelming support from our customers, who we consider family”.
