Looking for a pawsitively fun event you can share with your pooch?

Bark, woof and wag with other pet-loving friends on Saturday, February 16th at Tails & Trails 5K, 1-Mile Doggie Dash and Pet Festival at Minneola Trailhead Park.

The morning will start at 7:30 am with a 3.1 (5K) run/walk just for humans (without pets) along the paved, tree-lined Lake Minneola Scenic Trail. Registered 5K finishers receive a race t-shirt, commemorative race medal, and post-race snacks. Awards will be given to the top three overall, top masters, and the top three finishers in each 5-year age division, male and female in the 5K.

Following the 5K at 9:00 am dogs can leash up their human for the 1-mile Doggie Dash around Minneola Trailhead Park. Doggie pawticipants will receive a Tails & Trails bandana and dog treat while their human furnisher will receive a commemorative dog tag. The Doggie Dash is not timed, however, “top dog” prizes will be awarded by crowd appaws.

Meet our area pet-friendly businesses and services from 9:00 a.m. to noon. You might find the purrfect pet from our rescue pawdners: Partnersip for Paws, Hound Haven, Island Dogs, and South Lake Animal League who will all be available with lovable, adoptable dogs, training advice, and treats.
