On March 5th, 2019 City of Minneola Mayor Pat Kelley issued a Proclamation declaring Friday, March 29th as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day in the City of Minneola. In recognition of this day, Building Blocks Ministries has planned a Developmental Disabilities Awareness Event “Take Me Out to the Ballpark” sponsored by the Harper Family Charitable Foundation. This event will generate awareness and provide information about the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

There is a growing need for essential services that help individuals with developmental disabilities have the same life experiences as those without disabilities. Full inclusion & participation of individuals with developmental disabilities in all aspects of the community is the vision of Building Blocks Ministries, a local non-profit organization in Minneola, serving adults with developmental disabilities.
