The City of Groveland will host its 2019 Founder’s Day Celebration beginning on Saturday, March 30. This year’s event will include the Historic Groveland Expo at the Puryear Building, a Ground Breaking for Groveland Park at Wilson Lake Parkway. Live Entertainment with food trucks, face painting, rock climbing wall, craft vendors, a Birthday Cake Celebration with the Mayor for all children and adults celebrating their birthdays in March, taking place at the Downtown Festival Park. Following up on Sunday, March 31 at the Hope International Church, Groveland Leaders will be honored, a Ground Breaking of their New Gymnasium and the Lake Concert Band (60+concert band).
The events will start on March 30 with the Historic Groveland Expo at the Puryear Building and Historic Museum hosted by the Groveland Historical Society, www.grovelandhistory.org, at 10 am till 2 pm, located at 243 S. Lake Ave.
The day continues with a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Groveland Park at Wilson Lake Parkway at 2 PM, 121 Wilson Lake Parkway Groveland FL. 34736.
Live Entertainment with Country Artists Randy McNeeley, the Southern Brotherz Band and Groveland’s very own Rob Nichols will perform from 3 PM – 9 PM, with Food Trucks, craft vendors, rock climbing wall, face painting and the Birthday Cake Celebration with the Mayor at 4:45 pm, in Groveland’s Downtown Festival Park located at 117 N. Main Ave.
The events will continue on Sunday, March 31 at 10 am, Hope International Church, 13806 State Road 33, Groveland FL 34736, Groveland’s Leaders will be honored with presentation and immediately following with the Gymnasium Ground Breaking, and at 3 pm the Lake Concert Band will perform with their 60 + piece concert band.
