The City of Clermont is offering separate drama programs for pre-teens and teens this summer at the Clermont Arts & Recreation Center, 3700 S. U.S. Highway 27.

Drama Kids Summer Camp is open to children ages 6-12, while the Acting Academy welcomes teens ages 13-18. Come learn to express yourself.

The classes are run by Drama Kids International, which was ranked Best Children’s Enrichment Program for Under $50,000 in Entrepreneur Magazine’s 2018 Franchise 500. The company provides highly qualified and specially trained teachers who guide young actors through imaginative learning experiences, occasional class performances and creative lessons that are fun and highly developmental.

The kids camp will be held from 9 am – 4 pm, June 10-14 and July 8-12. Sign up for one or both weeks. A one-time registration fee of $25 per family will be charged; the camp costs $175 per week for one person and offers a sibling discount of $157.50 per week.

Extended care is only available for the kids camp and will be from 8 am -6 pm. The extended camp has a registration fee of $25 per family and costs $210 per week for one person, with a sibling discount rate of $189 per week.

The teens acting academy will run from 9 am – 4 pm, June 17-21. The one-time registration fee is $25 per family. The cost per person is $175 per week; siblings pay $157.50 per week.
