Montverde Ballet Center recently celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting officiated by The South Lake Chamber Of Commerce.
The Ballet Center is a ballet-focused school that offers a year-round classical ballet, contemporary jazz, and tap curriculum. Classes are available for ages 3 thru adult.
The owner, Sarah Jones-Zaccaro studied with many highly regarded teachers, has performed with the Tampa Ballet Company and Florida West Ballet and, for over 20 years has owned and taught at the Pinellas Dance Workshop and of Company “B” Ballet Center. A number of her students have won dance competitions and have gone on to perform professionally.
Sarah believes that competitions are for fun and for the recreational dancer. A studio must first and foremost be considered on how many students actually go onto a professional career and/or are accepted to prestigious summer programs. Competition wins should never be a basis for consideration for enrolling a student. Professional training and quality of education should always prevail.
