For many years, students, faculty and staff from the Clermont elementary schools have done their part in observing Drinking Water Week by participating in the annual “Drops Savers” poster contest.

At the City Council meeting on April 23, Mayor Gail Ash proclaimed May 5 – May 11 as Drinking Water Week and recognized selected students and school for their artwork.

This year there were over 1,950 entries from local elementary schools and only 10 awards given out.

The winning artwork was framed and given to each of the selected young artists by City Mayor Gail Ash at the City of Clermont Council Meeting.
