SLHS Student Piper Cox and Pat Caracciolo, owner of Pat The Dog

The Foundation for Education program in partnership with the South Lake Chamber awards five deserving high school students with a $1,000 scholarship each school year.  The final Outstanding Student Leader Award of the 2018-2019 school year is from South Lake High School. Pat Caracciolo, owner of Pat The Dog, sponsored this month’s students.

Piper Cox was awarded the Foundations Outstanding Student Leader Award.  She is a senior at South Lake High School with a GPA of 5.28. She is a member of FFA where she has served as the historian, student advisor and secretary over the course of her four years. Additionally, she is a member of the National Honors Society and Mu Alpha Theta. She also has been on the girls’ varsity soccer team since her freshman year and served as captain of the team since her sophomore year. She was also named player of the year her junior and senior year. When she is not juggling her several AP classes, she is an assistant coach for CLMS soccer and a counselor at her church.
