School is out for summer, but the district is already planning ahead for next school year by making sure we have enough teachers and other staff ready when students return in August.

Lake County Schools’ Teacher Hiring Event is scheduled for 9:00 am to 12:30 pm June 13 at Leesburg High School, 1401 Yellow Jacket Way, in Leesburg.

Teachers and other professionals will have an opportunity to learn about each school and networkwith school leaders over coffee before deciding to interview.

The district is specifically looking to hire guidance counselors, speech language pathologists, teachers of the visually impaired and educators certified in math, science, language arts, special education and elementary education.

Participants are asked to bring copies of their resume along with a pen and paper for notes.
