The Clermont Police Department will compete in a  basketball game with the Youth of Give A Day Foundation in a youth-vs-police game from 1-3 pm. on July 12 at the Real Life Church gymnasium, 1501 Steve’s Road.

The Give a Day Foundation is an organization that promotes helping others through volunteering. Among their variety of programs and events is Champion Circle, a youth empowerment program that helps equip young men with the necessary tools and guidance to open up possibilities and build a successful future. The foundation also provides volunteer services called Home Assist, where volunteers meet at your home to assist with basic tasks as changing light bulbs, changing batteries in smoke alarms, cleaning and lawn care. They also assist with transportation for grocery shopping and doctor’s appointments.

The Clermont Police Department enjoys many partnerships with local organizations such as the Give a Day Foundation, which allows the department to better serve the residents of the City of Clermont.
