This weekend’s Clermont Waterfront parkrun was a breath of fresh air, literally. A whopping 67 first timers lined up at the start line at Hiawatha Park on Saturday. The newbies made up more than 30% of all total finishers, a fantastic statistic because it means that more people than ever are hearing about and participating in parkrun events. Thanks to the many runners, volunteers, and family members who continue to spread the word about parkrun Clermont. This week 195 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 11 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 32 different clubs took part.

William Troupe was the first place overall finisher this weekend with a time of 17:29. He was followed by first time junior Nicholas Khan who ran a 17:49 to finish close behind Troupe in second. Jeremy Arguelles rounded out a solid top 3 with a time of 17:51. All three men were able to dip under 18, making for a very speedy day.

Reagan Parks was the first place female finishers in a time of 21:56. This parkrun regular has been topping the podium all summer, but will be missing quite a few parkruns with the impending start of her Cross Country  Season at East Ridge. Sophia Wilson and Debbie Schwarz ran a 22:13 and 23:31, respectively, to round out the top 3 women.
