On July 25, Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care, a local community-based, not-for-profit provider of hospice and palliative care services hosted a Healthcare Industry Night (HCIN) in South Lake County. Cornerstone Hospice’s Healthcare Industry Night is a networking event designed for healthcare professionals to meet, provide education and build relationships with one another so that they, in turn, can provide the best services and resources to individuals throughout South Lake County. July’s event was held at and sponsored by Superior Residences of Clermont, an assisted living and memory care community. Encompass Home Health & Integrity Therapy were also sponsors and supported the event.

At each Healthcare Industry Night attendees generously donate to a local charity that serves the Lake County community. The local charity chosen was Be Free Lake, an organization that educates and advocates for the health and wellness for youth and adults, $180.00 was raised at the event.

Superior Residences of Clermont also presented a check for $1000 dollars to the Villages Honor Flight as part of their corporate initiative. The Villages Honors Flight was selected as the recipient aligning with the theme of the event, Salute to Freedom. The monies donated will allow veterans and chaperones, at no cost, to fly to Washington DC and visit the memorials.

Cornerstone’s Healthcare Industry Nights are held quarterly in the seven Central Florida counties served.
