The Soccer Institute at Montverde Academy (SIMA) is excited to introduce the Aguiluchos Elite Training Program for student-athletes aged 5-12 years old who are passionate soccer players. The program is hosting a final Open ID Session before the start of the season on Saturday, September 7 on the Montverde Academy athletic complex.
Aguiluchos is part of the long term player development plan that prepares young soccer talent. Participants will benefit from the same top-level training facilities as the SIMA program with access to SIMA’s elite coaching staff. While the Aguiluchos program is hosted at MVA, home of the SIMA program, participants do not need to be enrolled in the Academy to join.
A final Open ID session will be hosted on Saturday, September 7 for players ages 5-8 at 9:00 am., followed by players ages 9-12 at 10:30 am. The program will provide age-specific training to continue building skills while nurturing the players’ passion for soccer. Elite SIMA Gold players will help facilitate the development and growth of our players throughout the program.
Andrew Douek, Director of Aguiluchos and SIMA Staff Coach, is an experienced instructor with knowledge in developing young soccer athletes. He brings his extensive international, MLS Development Academy and SIMA coaching experience along with the highest Argentinian youth and professional coaching licenses, to the position. Coach Douek is joined by Jose Rodriguez, SIMA Assistant Goalkeeper Coach, who was a member of the United States Deaf National Team.
The Aguiluchos program will participate in the U9-U12 Florida Partnership Regional Elite Development League and will provide numerous opportunities for competition in all age groups. Training sessions will begin on Monday, September 16, and will be held twice a week for the U5 through U8 group and three times per week for the U9 through U12 group.
