For those recording official documents, the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s office is adding an additional, more convenient location beginning Tuesday, October 1 at the Lake County Clerk’s Records Storage Facility, 313 S. Bloxham Ave., Tavares.

“Getting in and out of the courthouse can sometimes be cumbersome for those that are just trying to record a deed or notice of commencement,” said Gary Cooney, Lake County’s Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. “This new location allows you to be able to park right outside of the building, and access our services in an expedited manner.”

The new location will be open 8:30 am to 5 pm., Monday through Friday. In addition to the new location, documents can still be recorded in the Official Records Division, located in the Lake County Courthouse, 550 W. Main St., North Wing, Third Floor, Tavares.

Documents can also be dropped off at the branch offices, located at 902 Avenida Central, The Villages (North Lake), or 800 N. U.S. Highway 27, Minneola (South Lake), or can be placed in one of two designated drop-box locations at 418 W. Alfred St., Tavares or 1720 N. Citrus Blvd., Leesburg.

Recording of documents can also be accomplished through electronic submission (E-Recording). For more information on E-recording, visit www.lakecountyclerk.org/administrative_services/erecording.aspx.
