The Animal League Thrift Shop has expanded shopper options with a recent store renovation by adding a department for upscale clothing resale and vintage treasures.

The Animal League, a registered non-profit dog and cat rescue, has come up with a creative way to help save more lives by adding a special department to their Thrift Shop.

Tootsie’s Treasure Trove, a must-see shop within The Animal League’s Thrift Shop, was created as an additional way to raise money for the care of abused, abandoned and neglected cats and dogs. “The community’s generous donations of designer brands and high-end goods inspired us to try to reach a group of people who are searching for just that” commented Andrea Jacovetti, store manager.

Though pricing in Tootsies is well below market value, the cost of items will be higher than those found on the thrift shop side. Representatives note, “we are excited to offer something for everyone, and we appreciate your shopping with us regardless of whether it is in our thrift shop, or in our new addition- Tootsie’s Treasure Trove”.

The League encourages visitors to check out their new shop of treasures in back if you are interested in designer brands, fine china, and vintage collectibles at an incredibly fair, discounted price. Not only will you find some incredible bargains, but you will be supporting the many innocent, abandoned cats and dogs in the current and future care of The Animal League!

Jacovetti notes, “The Animal League is grateful for the continuous contributions, outreach, and support from our amazing community of volunteers, donors, and neighbors. We could not do any of this without you”.

Curious about the name? “Tootsie” naturally is a rescued deaf Pitbull and treas·ure trove as defined on Wikipedia: “a collection or store of valuable or delightful things”. Perfect!
