On Saturday, October 5, the curtain opens on the 2019-20 season of amazing entertainment at The Clermont Performing Arts Center.
The season debuts with the iconic Tony Danza and his four-piece band’s hit show, “Standards & Stories.” The show combines timeless music with wit, charm, storytelling, and a dash of soft shoe and ukulele performances. Danza performs a selection of his favorite standards from “The Great American Songbook” while interweaving stories about his life and personal connection to the music. Danza “radiates with charm,” raves “The New York Times.”
The Mainstage shows include “Celtic Yuletide” from “Riverdance” tenor Michael Londra; the award-winning circus duo “Great DuBois;” the popular “Nunsense” performed by the Moonlight Players troupe; and “Mutts Gone Nuts,” a hilarious canine show.
The Concert lineup include “Stars of the Sixties with Herman’s Hermits;” for Beatles fans, “1964 The Tribute;” “Hotel California,” the original tribute to the Eagles; “The Queen’s Cartoonists,” a jazz combo with a funnybone; and the comic opera “The Pirates of Penzance.”
The Black Box Theater continues to provide dazzling programs in an intimate setting, including fan-favorite “SAK Comedy Lab,” critically-acclaimed “Letters From Home” and our Friday Night showcase, featuring some of the hottest comics and variety acts in the country. The signature matinee series, “You Are There, Too!” returns with Emmy Award-winning host Charlie Grinker.
