Pastfinders of South Lake County; Genealogical Society is celebrating 30 years of educating and assisting others to find their lineage. Pastfinders is a non-profit organization formed in 1989 by a small group of like-minded people interested in helping others who might also be interested in this growing hobby.

The Genealogical Library is housed on the second floor of Cooper Memorial Library in Clermont, Florida. On October 10th, Mayor Gail Ash will be presenting a Proclamation to Pastfinders at 6 pm followed by a historical “Look Back” slide show.

Prior to the appearance of Clermont’s Mayor, there will be a free educational presentation by Annette Lyttle who will speak on “Slavery, Quakers, and the Underground Railroad”.

Doors open at 4:30 pm. The presentation starts at 5 pm in room 108 at Cooper Memorial Library. Come spend the evening at Cooper Memorial Library for this momentous occasion. For more information, go to PastfindersSLC.Org
