Lake County Library System’s Marion Baysinger Memorial Library was selected by the City of Groveland as “Business of the Month,” for September 2019.

The library was chosen for demonstrating exceptional customer service, providing a valuable asset to residents and contributing to the local quality of life in Lake County. The library was also recognized for its services, which promote investment in the community and provide access to important programs, learning opportunities and classes that enrich the Lake County community.

“The staff at the Marion Baysinger Memorial Library is proud of being recognized as the Groveland Business of the Month,” said George Taylor, Director of the Lake County Library System. “We have a successful partnership with the City of Groveland, through joint programming, and we see this recognition as an extension of our partnership and the work being done in the community.”

The Marion Baysinger Library was founded in 1928, its namesake, Marion Baysinger, was a teacher, librarian and president of the Groveland Women’s Club, among other civic achievements.

The Lake County Library System is dedicated to promoting lifelong learning through a cooperative countywide library system, engaging the community by offering physical and digital content, and offering services critical to education, research and workforce training.
