Clermont Police Department detectives are currently investigating a reported sexual battery. This was reported to have occurred in the area of Lake Hiawatha Preserve at 450 12th Street, on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. The victim, an adult female, contacted the Clermont Police Department after alerting a passerby at approximately 5:00 pm, yesterday. The sexual battery occurred between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
The suspects were described to officers as two adult males, unknown race and wearing dark colored clothing. The Clermont Police Department believes this to be an isolated incident and do not believe that the community is in any danger. “We are very early into this investigation and detectives are looking into all leads”.
