“Light Up Clermont is one of our biggest annual events,” City Manager Darren Gray said. “We’re excited to have families and friends gather and make holiday memories together.”
The free, family-friendly event features the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony led by Mayor Gail Ash at 6:30 pm on December 6. The festivities on December 7 will start with the Hometown Holiday Parade at 10 am.
To top off the weekend, the free Lessons and Carols concert by Montverde Academy will be held at 5 pm and again at 8 pm at Clermont Performing Arts Center, 3700 S. Highway 27.
December 6 also will include holiday music played by a live band on the main stage, DJ music and dancing at the community stage, Santa’s Little Flippers performance, family food trucks, bounce houses and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus provided by Kiwanis Club of South Lake.
Following the December 7 parade, be sure to stick around downtown and enjoy crafts, food, music and community entertainment.
