The Clermont Police Department will conduct a multi-agency DUI/Sobriety Checkpoint this weekend.

The location of the checkpoint will be the 1100 and 1200 blocks of East State Road 50 for all westbound traffic (the approximate location between ABC Liquor and Pet Supermarket).  The checkpoint will start at 10 pm., December 14 and will continue until 4 am, December 15, with law enforcement participation from several Lake County agencies.

The Clermont Police Department conducts these high-visibility enforcement checkpoints to spread the message “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.” Impaired Driving is a deadly epidemic that costs over 10,000 lives in the United States each year. By participating in this event, the Clermont Police Department is making a bold statement this holiday season that we have zero tolerance for those who choose to drive while impaired. Help us keep Clermont’s roads safe. Designate a sober driver, use a ride share service, call a friend or call a cab.

Regardless of where you are, dates or times, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.
