The Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra will continue their new season on Thursday and Friday, December 12 and 13 with their Dreams of Angels concert. The FLSO makes professional classical music accessible and affordable for adults, children and our entire community. This exciting Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra concert will feature the holiday Hansel & Gretel Overture, The Nutcracker Suite, Adeste Fidelis, What Child Is This, Sleigh Ride, Sacred Carols and many more joyful Christmas favorites.
Aaron Collins: Aaron Collins will be their special conductor for this concert. Collins is the founder, director and conductor of the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra of Cocoa, Florida now celebrating their 10th season. He shares his wonderful creativity, spirit, musical beauty and quest for knowledge through that has gained national attention. Collins, a prolific composer, has also written music for the stage and screen.
Soloist Performance: Marco Romano will be a guest soloist for this holiday concert. Romano has both baritone and tenor vocal strengths with three-octave extensions in full voice. He has performed in numerous Broadway play performances as well as for his own one-man Marco Romano show on numerous cruise ships. Romano has studied with internationally famous mentors and coaches including singing and jazz techniques with Carlo Lomanto, Shawna Ferrell, Franco Mescolini, Alessandra Frabetti, Nathan Martin and William Matteuzzi.
Central Florida Concert Locations: The Thursday performances for this season will be held at 7:30 PM at the Epiphany Celebration Anglican Church auditorium located at 1724 South Bay Street, Route 19 North, Eustis FL 32757 — https://epiphanycelebration.org/. The Friday night Clermont concerts will start at 7 PM. Upcoming Season 15 Performances: The upcoming January 9 & 10, 2020 Shalom Concert performance will ring in the New Year with Jewish themes from Fiddler on The Roof, Shindler’s List, Exodus and many more favorites while featuring the conductor from Cleveland’s Pop Orchestra, Carl Topilow. The special February 13 & 14 Valentine Concerts will showcase Vienna Woods, Springtime & Strauss, Tales of the Vienna Woods, and The Beautiful Blue Danube Waltz. On March 19 & 20, they will offer a wonderful Fire & Ice Concert with Southern music — Fire Dance, Capriccio Espagnole, O Mo Babbino Caro, Carmen and Northern Tschaikowsky Piano Concerto 1 with piano soloist Sten Heinoia. Spring will commence on April 23 & 24 with a Cherry Blossoms Concert featuring A Japanese Teahouse, Madame Butterfly, Lower Song and many more Oriental favorites with guest conductor Shungo Moriyama visiting us from Osaka, Japan.
