The members of Beta Theta ESA wishes neighbors and friends a Happy New Year!  This year, the 22 members will be hosting their 16th Annual Mardi Gras Celebration, the organization’s festive, signature fundraiser, on Saturday, March 14 at Clermont Performing Arts Center. All are invited to participate as a sponsor, contributor or attendee.

Beta Theta members, Cathy Bateham, Michelle Delaney, Karen Gelaides, Lisa Graham, Lucy Hage, Janet Hawkins, Barb Henry, Donna Kidder, Joan Kyle, Eleanor Lofgren, Diann Lovette, Sandy Martin, Suzanne McClure, Terry Moherek, Pat Moore, Corrine Odenheimer, Janice Senninger, Rosetta Shobe, Sandie Stacy, Toni-Bell Rescoe, Jackie Ulch and Ann Whitlock, have been preparing for a very successful fundraiser. All the proceeds from the event will be given to the community to help fund local high school scholarships and non-profit organizations.

Last year contributions included Boys and Girls Club, Building Blocks Ministries, Cooper Memorial Library, Faith Neighborhood Center, Haven of Lake and Sumter, Head Start, Hospice of Lake and Sumter, Greater Clermont Cancer Foundation, South Lake Hospital Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Easter Seals and Ronald McDonald House. Beta Theta also brings Christmas gifts to the residents of Leisure Manor, contributes to Wreath Across America and; the sisters most important project, Sisters Caring for Sisters.

Beta Theta has been giving back to the community for over 40 yearsl  As a group, Beta Theta has held fundraisers and assisted in local community projects since it was chartered. And the men of Beta Theta have played a significant role in the success of Beta Theta.

Tickets to this year’s event are $50 a person, which includes a dinner/dance, silent auction, costume contest, door prizes and lots of fun.
