By Marty Proctor – Coffee with a Cop organized by the Mascotte Police Department and Chief Pedersen.  The well attended event was held Friday January 10 from 9-11 at the Rainbow Restaurant 704 E. Myers Boulevard, Mascotte, FL.  Many members of the business and political community met with local residents at the longstanding local restaurant to discuss local issues.

The meeting was informal with the opportunity for residents to get one-on-one time with their local public servants.  Business, growth, traffic, and local challenges with transients and drugs were discussed.  Some residents stayed for the entire event and many others popped in for a brief conversation.  Coffee and pastries were provided by local businesses supporting the Mascotte Police Department.
