“Keeping the Dream Alive” sounded off loud and clear when over 100 vehicles and proud marchers paraded from McKinney Park, west on Desoto Street and down East Avenue to Downtown-Waterfront Park to celebrate the life and legacy of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The celebration continued at the park with a memorial ceremony was followed by food, fun and entertainment.

The City of Clermont, Christian Men in Action, and Event Coordinator Tim Murry (a lifelong resident and community leader) provided the community with a very successful event.

This is the second year that the city of Clermont has its own Rev. Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Parade but since 2012 memorial celebrations have been officially observed in Clermont.  Christian Men in Action sponsored the first Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration in 2012.
