Stephanie McShan

South Lake Pain Institute, a multi-site pain management practice serving Central Florida with offices in Clermont and Orlando, is pleased to announce the addition of Stephanie McShan, LCSW, MEd to the practice.

Stephanie McShan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2015.  She completed her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and master’s degrees in both Social Work and Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida. Stephanie also received a certification in Children Services from the University of Central Florida.  Stephanie has worked in both hospital and clinic settings most recently in the capacity of Mental Health Provider at one of Central Florida’s Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers for the last 2 years.  In her career, Stephanie has worked with patients with varying mental health disorders providing individual counseling.  She provided mental health assessments and diagnosis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and crisis intervention as well as served as a liaison between her patients and community resources.

Dr. Julie Saranita, D.O. says, “South Lake Pain Institute was founded from the desire to create a comprehensive pain management practice providing the highest level of care to those suffering from acute and chronic pain. As the more than 76 million baby boomers continue to age, many of them will increasingly face the aches and pains that come with chronic health issues. And as medical and mental health providers are aware, mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and addiction can also cause or heighten physical pain. This makes the provision of psychoeducation essential for patients with chronic pain. We are proud to have Stephanie McShan provide this support to our patients.”

Dr. Julio Paez, M.D. adds, “”Over the past decade, South Lake Pain Institute has evolved and grown to meet the needs of our patients.  This growth continues with the addition of Stephanie McShan to our provider team.  Stephanie brings a wealth of experience and expertise to South Lake Pain Institute as well as a commitment to deliver compassionate, comprehensive and collaborative care.”

Stephanie McShan, LCSW, MEd will be accepting patients beginning February 5, 2020 at South Lake Pain Institute, Clermont, FL.
