The South Lake Chamber of Commerce will host an education showcase on Saturday, February 22 from 9 am – 1 pm at Cooper Memorial Library, 2525 Oakley Seaver Dr., Clermont, FL 34711.
This one day showcase is an opportunity for members of the South Lake Community to learn and engage with local education providers and resources. Students and parents grades K-20 are encouraged to attend and receive information about local schools and resources.
Dr. Tanya Armstrong, co-chair of the Chamber Education Committee shares that, “We support parents having a wide variety of options in our district including allowing their student to attend a neighborhood school, a traditional school outside their attendance boundaries with an approved zone waiver, virtual school, charter school, magnet school, dual enrollment programs, advanced placement and special programs such as our Health Sciences Collegiate Academy in South Lake County.”
Schools currently schedule to attend include: Cypress Ridge Elementary, Groveland Elementary, Mascotte Charter, Pine Ridge Elementary. Grassy Lake Elementary, Imagine South Lake Charter, Minneola Charter, Montverde Academy, Real Life Christian Academy, Cecil E. Gray Middle School, East Ridge Middle School, Lake County Schools College & Career Readiness, East Ridge High School. Lake Minneola High School, Lake-Sumter State College Health Sciences Collegiate Academy, South Lake High School, Lake Technical College, Lake-Sumter State College, University of Central Florida – South Lake.
School resources scheduled to attend include: Central Florida Dreamplex, Mathnasium of Clermont, We Can Work It Out, Clermont Battalion of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps., Ladybird Academy of Clermont, My TEK Lab, Kiwanis Club of South Lake, Early Learning Coalition of Lake County, Moms Guide to Robotics.
