Publix is Coming to the Hills of Minneola
– The Hills of Minneola, a master-planned community that consists of approximately 1,850 acres and a variety of uses occupying all four quadrants of the Florida Turnpike Interchange near Hancock Road. The “Hills” will include a mix of offices, shopping and residences.  A Town Center will serve as a focal point for the community and the surrounding area with a system of pedestrian and bicycle paths and trails. The Hills of Minneola will bring new residences, retail, office and commercial use, as well as a new school. Publix is one of the stores planned to come to the Hills of Minneola.


Hwy 50

Two additional car dealerships coming to Hwy 50, Clermont.

Kia will be located between Honda and Mazda on the south side of SR 50.

Car Max will be on CR455 (directly off SR 50 behind the shopping center) heading to Montverde.

AJI Sushi Teppan is coming to Clermont. It will be located on the northeast corner of State Road 50 and Hancock.

Ellie Lou’s Brew and BBQ will be opening its second brew and BBQ location at 1391 Citrus Tower Blvd, (the building formally housing First Green Bank). Opening Due Date, March 2020.

Planet Fitness is opening. Located on  Hwy 27 by Anderson Hill Road, Clermont. There will be several businesses/restaurants lining 27 at Shoppes at Anderson Hill (including Rita’s Italian Ice, Clean Eats and Smoothie King.

Starbucks – Rumor has it that you’ll soon be able to get your morning cup of coffee at the building now under construction on Hwy 27 (on property near San Jose/Kings Ridge Shopping Center).

Montrose Market,  Located on the corner of Montrose and 8thStreet. This long-awaited cornucopia of stores, all in one building, will open soon.  It will house Sud’s Saloon Bar, Golden Hills Coffee Roasters, Jour de Crepe, Morthan Cheese, Box Grill, One Utopia, Brazilian Bites Gourmet, Real Deal American Grill and Poke Kai. Groveland

Groveland Public Safety Complex

The city of Groveland is in the process of building its Public Safety Complex on State Road 50 near Tractor Supply in Groveland. The 2-story facility will house both the Groveland Police and Fire departments.

Kroger-Ocado Site – The total completion of the facility is targeted for 2022. It will house over 30,00 square feet of office space and will contain a warehouse of over 330,000 square feet. Kroger-Ocado will serve as an “advanced robotics” customer fulfillment center that will also provide high-wage jobs to its employees. Customers will have the option to order fresh groceries online and have them delivered at their convenience.

Bridge on SR 33 – Construction will begin to replace the existing bridge on State Road 33 south of Groveland. The construction of the bridge will be south of the intersection of SR 33 and CR 561. The bridge is expected to have 12-foot-wide travel lanes and 10-foot-wide paved shoulders. The completion date is set for 2021. To aid traffic flow, a temporary bridge is being built along SR 33, adjacent to the current bridge. This will allow traffic to flow during the demolition and reconstruction process.

Trinity Lake Community – a 1,150 single-family home Community.  Home prices are expected to start in the low $200s, with a limited number of lakefront custom homes starting in the $400s.  The 420-acre community is located on SR19 (Howey Road) in Groveland, about 2 miles from the entrance to Florida’s Turnpike.
