“Celebrate Community” is the theme Building Blocks Ministries has chosen this year to celebrate Developmental Disability Awareness month. There is a growing need for essential services that help individuals with developmental disabilities have the same life experiences as those without disabilities. Full inclusion & participation of individuals with developmental disabilities in all aspects of the community is the vision of Building Blocks Ministries, a local non-profit organization in Minneola, serving adults with developmental disabilities.
All over Florida, during the month of March, people are gathering to bring awareness to the essential need for services that enable individuals with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential. Here in Minneola, Building Blocks Ministries will be hosting a kickball game on Tuesday, March 24th at 10:00 am at Minneola Trailhead Park located on Madison Street. The game will feature players enrolled in Building Blocks Ministries Day Training Program and volunteer buddy players and cheerleaders from the community. To register as a volunteer buddy player or cheerleader. Send an email to info@buildingblocksministries.com or call 352-536-9264. If playing kickball is not for you, be a fan!
Located in Minneola, Building Blocks Ministries has been serving the community since 2006, working daily to fulfill their mission; “Empowering adults with developmental disabilities to dream, believe in themselves and engage in training designed to support individual achievements.”
