Just after 7 am this morning, a 5.7 earthquake struck Magna, Utah, (near Salt Lake City).

Presently, there are no official reports of injuries but power has been knocked out in some areas, there is extensive structural damage, and the area is still experiencing after-shocks (mini quakes). To add to the situation, the state’s coronavirus hotline has also been knocked out.

This is the state’s largest earthquake since 1992 and the city is still assessing the situation.
