Two students, a parent, and a teacher from East Ridge Middle School (ERMS) are concerned about students not getting enough exercise while schools are temporarily closed—so they made some workout videos to help motivate them to exercise individually or with their family.

The videos were recorded near Waterfront Park and Hiawatha Preserve in Clermont.  The videos were recorded and edited by Ayden Smith (8th grade) and they feature Jayce Castleman (6thgrade), Melinda Smith (Ayden’s mom) and Josh Castleman (Jayce’s dad and PE teacher at ERMS).

“We know that exercise helps strengthen your immune system and it helps reduce stress—which are both really important right now.  I’m hoping students and their families find a way to make exercise a part of their new routines,” said Castleman.

The four videos can be found on this link to the ERMS Physical Education YouTube Channel:

The crew says they would be happy to make more videos if people found them worthwhile.
