South Lake Tablet Receives A “Best Of South Lake Award” …Owners Say The Timing Couldn’t Be Better.

The South Lake Tablet, an online community news publication, recently received the Best of South Lake Award in the category of Digital /Print Publication. (see Best of South Lake Winners)

The South Lake Tablet is a family-owned business. The owners, Bill and Michelle, are long-time residents of south Lake County. They moved from NYC in 1973, Bill, a Local 3 Union Electrician and Michelle, an American Airlines employee. The couple wanted to raise their children in a small, family-oriented community.  In 1973, Clermont was a small town with a population of approximately 4,000.

They opened a small business in Clermont, Two Sons Cleaners. The name changed when they had their 3^rd son.  Bill, eventually went into the publishing business with his sons Stephen, Michael and Patrick. Michelle worked for Lake County Schools and later, as a Walt Disney World Cast Member until retirement.

Since their move to Clermont, the Delaneys have been small business owners and understand the challenges of small businesses.

Michelle Delaney says that the “BEST OF” award was received at the perfect time! The recognition is invaluable. She is hoping to use the TABLET and the recognition as a vehicle to promote as many local businesses as possible.

Michelle explained, “COVID-19 virus lockdown is leaving our community confused and anxious. I want to make the community aware of the status of our local businesses and their efforts to keep their businesses open,  their employees working, and their customers’ needs met”.
