On Saturday, April 11, Pastor Michael Hopewell proudly announced that with the help of their partners at 2nd Harvest Food Bank, Well of Hope Food Bank was able to feed 450 families; close to 2,300 people. Over 30,000 lbs of food were given away, and yet, over 100 families were turned away. “The food supply is low and money to purchase food is thinning; We need help”, said Rev Hopewell.
Well of Hope Foodbank/Thrift Store is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation that was founded in 2013 to serve the Four Corners area of Clermont as a food distribution center for those in need.
The mission of the Well of Hope Food Bank is to train, restore, educate, and equip families in need with the tools to achieve. These goals are met by providing food, rental and utility assistance, furniture, and transportation needs.

Most of the funding comes from the thrift store, located at 16605 Sunrise Lakes Blvd., Clermont, which is rented but currently shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional funding comes from civic organizations, businesses, and individuals.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the thrift store is closed, businesses are hurting, and many people have been laid off.  The food supply is low and money is needed. Well of Help needs your help.
Those who want to donate food can drop it off at the food bank. If you wish to donate cash,  visit the food bank or mail to Word Keepers/Well of Hope Food Bank at 13812 via Roma Circle, Clermont, FL 34711.  Contact 352-999-1213 for further details. All donations are tax-exempt and a receipt will be provided.
The food bank is open daily from 10 am to 2 pm Monday – Friday, and 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday.
