Dreamcatcher Horse Rescue, located at 10639 Toad Rd., Clermont, is a non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and finds good homes for horses. The organization was founded in 2006 by the Wheatley family. It began with 2 horses (Sonny and Little Girl) and is now home to approximately 50 horses.  Dreamcatcher became a non-profit in 2008 when the recession hit and many people didn’t have the resources to care for their horses. Over the years, more than 1,000 horses have been rescued and given new homes. Many people call Dream Catcher a santuary for rescued horses.
