Always a smile on her face

Aubree Nicole Dewitt, age 5, passed away on May 17, 2020 at Shands Children’s Hospital in Gainesville, Florida due to heart failure caused by Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Aubree was born on July 24, 2014 to parents Kristin Beck and Cameron DeWitt.

Prior to her birth, Aubree was diagnosed with Turner’s syndrome (a chromosomal disorder) as well as HLHS. Despite these serious medical conditions, Aubree tackled life with unparalleled attitude and joy. Every challenge was met with a sassy remark, a mile-wide smile, and bouncing curls. Her courage, spirit, and stubbornness made her a fierce little fighter, who gave her all until the very end.

Aubree is survived by her parents Kristin and Cameron, and her sister Savannah, as well as an extended family including eight grandparents, eight aunts and uncles, and five cousins.

Due to the current social distancing requirements, there will be an invitation-only service held at Real Life Church in Clermont, on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 2 pm.  Only those guests specifically on the list will be allowed in the church, however, those wishing to pay their respects will have access to a guest book outside the church, the service will be live-streamed, and the family will be available for a drive through greeting after the service.

For those wishing to make a donation in memory of Aubree, the family has chosen two charities that support families and awareness for pediatric congenital heart defects: the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association and Yellow Brick Road: The Holden Flynn Foundation.
