Pinecrest Lakes Academy has announced they will be building a new middle high school. The name of the new school will be Pinecrest Lakes Middle High School and will be the home of the Panthers.
“With the excellent academic acceleration program that Pinecrest Lakes Academy has offered to our current middle school students, we are so excited to see what these students will achieve in high school”, said Principal Christy Alcalde.
For the 2020-21 school year, 9th-grade students will be nesting at Lake Sumter State College – South Campus. Pinecrest Lakes Middle High School will continue to house 6th – 8th grade at the current campus of Pinecrest Lakes Academy and will only offer the ninth-grade curriculum for the first year at the LSSC campus until the new, state of the art campus is opened next year.
The school’s curriculum will focus on an early college program through advanced accelerated coursework and dual enrollment where students earn their Associate’s degree while earning their high school diploma.
