Lake Technical College has an exciting opportunity for potential students interested in the Patient Care Technician program. As a part of the Governor’s initiative to encourage people to learn “essential” career skills and to help people get back to work, Lake Tech has been awarded a special grant. Through this grant, Lake Tech is able to offer FREE TUITION for the Patient Care Technician class which starts July 14th!   This will save students just over $1,700.  Even better, they do not need to do a special application to apply for this grant – it will be automatically applied to their student account when they register for the program.

The class starts on July 14th and they will graduate on December 17th. The class runs Monday through Thursday, 8 am -4 pm. 

Now enrolling and spaces are limited, so don’t delay.

In order to secure a seat, students must complete the online Lake Tech application and:

  • Have acceptable basic skills test scores (TABE/CASAC Goals) or have an approved exemption on file (Florida public high school diploma, Associate’s Degree or higher, etc.).

  • At the time of registration, be able to provide 2 valid forms of documentation for Florida Residency via Florida driver’s license, Florida voter registration card, Florida car registration, etc.

ü  If a student is under 24 years old, they will need a parent/guardian to provide the documentation. Call Admissions for more options and details);

  • Have a plan to pay for the remaining fees after the tuition grant ~ Only $545:

o   Pay balance in full – $545, or set up a two-part payment plan.  The first payment will be due at the time of registration;

o   Complete the FAFSA ~ “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” (Pell Grant)

 SUMMER HOURS – 

Ø  Monday – Thursday 8:00 am-5:00 pm,  closed on Fridays.

Ø  The offices are closing June 29 – July 3 for a deep cleaning of the campus.

Ø  Starting July 6th, the doors open to the public. Please note, for the health and wellness of others and the staff, wear a mask when visiting the campus.  Masks will be required in the testing lab.
