Congratulations to the Orlando Cat Cafe

In August, the Orlando Cat Café participated in NBC & Telemundo stations’ Clear the Shelters™ nationwide pet adoption campaign and on August 27, 2020, also celebrated their 900th cat adoption. “Flo” a 6-month-old gray and white domestic shorthair kitten, was the lucky cat to find her forever home. Flo was one of 61 cats adopted to a new home during the month-long campaign. The adopter came to the cat café specifically to adopt and received a gift basket of merchandise to take home.

“We couldn’t be happier to celebrate these milestones together,” said Sandra Cagan, owner of the Orlando Cat Café. “Since opening in September 2016, we have increased the number of cat adoptions year over year and are confident that we will reach our 1,000th cat adoption later this year. We appreciate the Clear the Shelters™ campaign initiative which brings awareness to shelter pets and encourages adoption.”

The Orlando Cat Café was the first Cat Café to open in the State of Florida and to date has welcomed over 70,000 visitors from all over the world. The Orlando Cat Café houses between 12-20 cats and kittens, all of which are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and available for adoption. The Orlando Cat Café is located at 532 Cagan Park Avenue in the Cagan Crossings Town Center, about 4 miles west of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made at www.orlandocatcafe.com.
