Clermont Garden Club member, Carol Walker is shown with Cooper Memorial Librarian, Ivanna Villanueva. Carol has brought a Bromeliad Neoregelia (pink mini) to display at the library for the month of September 2020.

Bromeliads are like jewelry for your garden. They can be small or large and easy to grow. The colors range from bright pink centers to bright red leaves, to zebra-striped foliage. They do well in shade and some can take full sun which can enhance the coloration. A great plant for low maintenance and a native of the South American rainforest. They are quite adaptable and can be found growing in the shade or full sun. They need no special gardening skills. Caring for these plants are quite easy.

The Clermont Garden Club shares plants on a monthly basis with the library in order to foster community awareness and to connect the public to our programs, civic activities and community outreach. for more information on becoming a member, or for Clubhouse Rental visit our website at: www.ClermontGardenClub.com.
