In August, the Lake County Property Appraiser’s Office mailed TRIM, or Truth in Millage notices, which contain information about property taxes. TRIM notices list the taxable value of each property and provide information on the proposed maximum millage rates and taxes as estimated by each Lake County taxing authority, which includes the County Commission, School Board, municipalities and others. The Property Appraiser’s Office also posts TRIM notices for all properties in Lake County online at www.lakecopropappr.com.

The fiscal year of Lake County’s annual budget is Oct. 1 through Sept. 30. The Office of Management & Budget is committed to accounting for and managing public funds appropriately and openly, recommending effective and efficient financial plans, and ensuring adequate funding is available to carry forward programs as directed by the Board of County Commissioners.
