Congregation Sinai continues to help our Central Florida community celebrate all Jewish holidays with special events, educational workshops, special holiday programs and weekly services. Congregation Sinai classes are open to the general public. With the current pandemic, all educational programs are being held virtually. Numerous weekly services and events are open and free to the entire community.

Weekly Friday Night Kabbalat Services: Each Friday night starting at 7:30 PM, spiritual leader Joe Goldovitz leads a virtual and face-to-face traditional Shabbat Service. Every service is led by inspiring music, song, prayers and chants. While only a limited number of attendees are allowed in the temple due to COVID-19, every service is available virtually. You merely need to visit the Sinai website to get the GoToMeeting log-in information. This is a really great way to sample the Congregation Services if you have not already joined. There is always a fun pre and post-service virtual get-together to renew friendships.

Jewish Youth Education: Sunday School at Congregation Sinai is open and progressing. Virtual education sessions are now being held on most Sundays throughout the school year. Sunday morning sessions are held from 10 AM to noon. Sinai readily accommodates children of a variety of ages from preschool to Bar/Bat Mitzvah age and beyond. Subjects taught include Hebrew reading and writing, prayers, Torah instruction, Shabbat and Jewish Holiday practices, rituals and traditions. There are many other topics we have and will continue to pursue. Adult classes are offered virtually on Tuesday mornings starting at 10 AM, so you can conveniently participate from your home.

Bagels & Bible, Torah & Extra Studies: Sinai offers free open Torah Study sessions each week on Saturday mornings starting at 10 AM, led by Peter Sobel and Sinai members. The weekly Torah portion is read and discussed with modern and traditional perspectives. All Congregation Sinai educational programs are available on a rolling admission basis, so you can start anytime. Saturday morning virtual Torah Study sessions are free!
