Yummi’s Frozen Yogurt and Cafe: It all starts when you grab a cup, fill it up, choose toppings and proceed to enjoy a sweet treat. The creamy, frozen flavors tickle the “taste buds” ending in a Yummi good time!  The cafe is located at the corner of 8th and Montrose Streets (650 8th St., Clermont) in Historic Downtown Clermont.
Chris Garcia accomplishes his goal of following the “4 C’s” as he puts it; Customer first, Courtesy, Cleanliness and Consistency, not to mention a large dose of quality at Yummi’s.
Chris and Kristina opened Yummi’s in May of 2015 and, since then, they’ve treated Clermont residents and visitors to large helpings of Yogurt, Sorbet, Smoothies, Ice Cream and Gelato with all the fixings.
The fan favorites include cookie & crème yogurt, watermelon orange and pineapple sorbet, cake batter & crème brulee gelato and all yogurt smoothies, which he points out have no ice or fillers and are made with 100 percent yogurt.
Chris, a retired United States Marine, opened the “family-friendly, family-run” cafe after moving to Clermont from Michigan via Miami where he excelled in medical sales.  He wanted to return to his restaurant roots for a brighter future for his family and saw Clermont as an expanding venue. The entire family are involved in the business, in fact, the name “Yummi’s” was his daughter’s idea.
“I see Clermont as catering to folks of all ages in the near future,” said Chris. “With the businesses coming to downtown along with the two breweries, we will experience a nightlife to go with the expansion of sports and entertainment.”
Yummi’s is open 7-days a week. To learn more, visit YUMMI’s on Facebook or call 352-243-4529
