On your next visit to downtown Clermont, visit Cheesers Palace Cafe, located at 707 West Montrose Street. The cafe is a popular local restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, Tuesday through Sunday from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm. It’s the place where athletes go to eat after an invigorating run along the shores of Lake Minneola and shoppers go to dine after browsing and buying at the unique shops on Montrose.Owner/chef Amanda Walsh always has a selection of sweet treats that are ready to satisfy a self-indulgent yearning.  “You should always start with dessert in mind,” says Walsh, “We always hope your visit will be completed with one of our homemade treats.

Cheesers story started in 2006 when Walsh, and her mother Carol, purchased the cafe that has been on Montrose since 1976.  Since then, they have been proudly serving folks with breakfast and lunch and have a specialty chocolate shop and a small cheese selection.  They also offer full-service catering.
Their breakfast menu includes 7 versions of Eggs Benedict, many gourmet omelets, Belgian Waffles, crepes and other goodies.
Walsh says that their lunch menu will take you “on a journey that includes American favorites to ones with a hint of European flair.”
“Our half pound Black Angus burgers are kissed with many options of European cheese combinations.  The salads are lovingly named after our beloved South Lake area and include eight varieties,” says Amanda.
Cheesers has earned many awards over the years and has been named South Lakes “Best Caterer” by the South Lake Chamber of Commerce in 2017, 2019 and 2020.
Walsh is also active throughout  the Clermont community, both through the Chamber of Commerce as well as promoting the downtown shopping district and has become a destination stop on Montrose Street.

Their website is located at www.CheesersPalace.com.
