The Friends of the Cooper Memorial Library will accept book donations again starting Monday, February 1, 2021. Your generous donations will help fund programs for library patrons of all ages. Please consider a donation of gently-used fiction & non-fiction books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles.

Items can be dropped off in the designated book donation area in the first-floor lobby of the library during the normal library hours of Monday through Thursday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Friday & Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Please do not leave donations outdoors.

Individuals with large collections or special circumstances may call the library to schedule a drop-off time that is convenient for you. Staff will meet scheduled drop-offs at the staff entrance at the side of the library.

We cannot accept items that are dirty, moldy, water-damaged, outdated, reference books or textbooks. All donated materials will be quarantined for 72 hours before being handled for the Friends book sale per recommendations of the Lake County Health Department.

The Friends holds an ongoing sale during library hours in the Friends room beside the first floor circulation desk. The next big Friends sale is scheduled for Friday & Saturday, July 30-31, 2021, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in Room 108 of the library building
